Transparent research, with room for you to correct the interpretation.
A researched starting directory
We currently list 224 law firms and Singapore offices. This is a curated selection, not a complete register or a ranking. Each profile shows its own source-review date and links to published practice information.
The Straits Times’ Singapore’s Best Law Firms 2026 guide informed our research. We do not reproduce its rankings or claim that every firm listed here is ranked.
Use the official LSRA register to check current registration details and explore the wider market. Our source review is not a certification of a firm’s current status.
International-only offices are included for cross-border searches, and excluded when you select Singapore-only. Listings explain relevant practice limitations. An international presence does not establish a right to represent clients in Singapore courts; confirm the precise scope directly.
Your chosen practice area receives the strongest weighting when determining relevant firms. The default display order is descending published lawyer count; choose Relevance to order by expertise overlap.
Specific topics selected in the form or detected in your description are compared with the firm’s published services.
Related practice areas can add relevant options. You can restrict results to your primary area.
Firms with equal overlap appear alphabetically.
Payment does not influence this directory’s order. We do not score legal quality, success rates or suitability. Budget, language and urgency stay in your brief; we have not verified these attributes for each firm.
Firm size from published lawyer figures
Firm size is based on the firm’s published lawyer count. The scope is shown on each listing: Singapore, regional or worldwide. It does not indicate fees or quality. How size is shown
One person icon means fewer than 20 lawyers; two means 20–50; three means 51–99 (Large); four means 100 or more. These bands describe practice scale, not legal quality or price.
We use lawyer figures published by the firm itself, or a clearly complete official lawyer list. We do not infer headcount from reputation, office count, Senior Counsel titles or support-staff totals. Each verified entry links to its source and shows when it was checked.
Singapore figures are preferred. Where only a regional or worldwide total is published, that scope is shown prominently. A worldwide total is not the size of the Singapore office. Approximate and “over” figures retain their published wording; their bands use the advertised reference figure and actual headcount may span another band.
Where we cannot verify a published lawyer count, we show “Size not verified”. Size filters select a band or unverified entries. Size sorting orders the published lawyer figures, places unverified entries last in both directions, and uses relevance or alphabetical order for ties. Regional and worldwide figures retain their explicit scope. It never adds unrelated firms.
Headcount should not be used to infer fees. Ask the firm directly for a scoped quote.
Chambers practice bands
We show a verified subset of Singapore firm practice rankings from Chambers, with the actual practice title, guide and year. A band applies to that practice in that guide, not to every service the firm offers or to each lawyer. Domestic and international tables, and The Elite and Highly Regarded categories, remain separately labelled.
The Chambers practice selector is independent of the directory’s broad expertise tags. Selecting both filters returns their intersection. With All ranked practices, a band filter includes any verified practice entry in that band. Private Wealth Law is broader than wills and probate, and is shown under its actual Chambers title. No verified ranking means our research has not established an entry, not that the firm is unranked. Band filters do not change the default size ordering or include unrelated expertise. CounselMatch is independent of Chambers.
Matching uses a defined English keyword dictionary, not a legal assessment or a generative AI opinion. It may miss unusual wording, non-English descriptions or complex context. Simple negation checks are limited. Review detected topics, remove incorrect ones and refine your answers.
Published practice coverage may be broad. A result means there is an overlap worth researching, not confirmation that a particular lawyer will accept your case.
