What is saved
When you save a search, CounselMatch stores your answers, original description, reviewed summary and excluded topics. Saving a firm stores its directory identifier. Browsing the directory alone does not create a saved search.
Access from this browser
A private, HTTP-only cookie links this browser to your saved workspace for up to 30 days. Guests can view their searches from this browser. Email-and-password accounts keep searches and saved firms together across devices. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; a separate HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out revokes that session. Anyone using a signed-in browser can access that account workspace. Account emails are stored for sign-in; they are not shared with listed firms. Email verification and email password recovery are not available yet. Cookie expiry or clearing browser data removes access; it does not itself delete the stored records.
No automatic forwarding
Your description is not sent to listed firms or made available in lawyer dashboards. Keyword extraction runs in the site’s code without sending your text to an external AI provider. External firm links do not include your summary.
Keep descriptions minimal
Do not include names, NRIC numbers, contact details, exact addresses or sensitive documents. There is no identity verification or document upload in this discovery journey. Contacting a firm through its own website is subject to that firm’s processes and privacy terms.
Remove your saved information
Delete individual searches or use Clear my workspace to delete all searches and saved firms in your current workspace. Clearing a signed-in workspace does not delete the account or sign you out. Do this before clearing your cookie if you want the stored workspace removed. This action removes active workspace records; it does not promise erasure from infrastructure backups or operational logs.
